Possible Causes
Faulty touch control PCB, damaged membrane keypad, loose ribbon cable between display and main board, liquid ingress behind control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before removing the control panel.
- Inspect for moisture: If the error appeared after cleaning or a spill, remove the control panel fascia and check for moisture on the touch PCB or keypad. Dry gently with a lint-free cloth and allow to air dry completely before reassembly.
- Check ribbon cables: Reseat the flat ribbon cable between the user interface board and the main control board. Ensure it is fully inserted and not damaged.
- Look for damage: Examine the touch PCB for burn marks, cracked tracks, or corrosion. If the keypad membrane is torn or buttons are stuck, replace the control panel assembly.
- Power reset: After reassembly, restore power and perform a hard reset by turning the oven off at the breaker for 5–10 minutes, then back on.
- Replace UI board if needed: If E06 persists and wiring is sound, replace the Essentials touch control / display PCB as a complete unit.
