Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, seized fan due to grease buildup, open thermal fuse in fan circuit, faulty relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and ensure the oven is cool before accessing the rear or internal panels.
- Check fan rotation: Remove the fan cover inside the oven cavity (rear panel) and try to spin the convection fan blade by hand. It should turn freely. If stiff or jammed, clean away grease and debris; if still seized, replace the fan motor assembly.
- Test fan motor: Access the rear of the oven and locate the convection fan motor terminals. Disconnect and measure resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
- Inspect thermal fuse (if fitted): Some Essentials ovens have a small thermal cut-out in series with the fan. Test for continuity and replace if open.
- Check control relay: On the main PCB, locate the convection fan relay. Inspect for burned contacts or cracked solder joints. Resolder or replace the control board if the relay is defective.
- Reassemble and test: After replacing any faulty parts, restore power and run a convection mode to confirm that the fan runs and E07 clears.
