Possible Causes

Blown oven lamp, faulty lamp holder, open lamp wiring, failed lamp relay on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off power before changing the lamp or accessing wiring. The glass cover and lamp may be hot.

  • Replace the lamp: Unscrew or unclip the glass lamp cover inside the cavity. Remove the old bulb (usually an E14 high-temperature oven lamp) and replace with a new, heat-rated lamp of the same wattage.
  • Inspect lamp holder: Check the lamp holder for signs of burning or looseness. If the contacts are charred or the holder is cracked, replace the lamp holder assembly.
  • Check wiring: From the rear of the oven, inspect the two wires feeding the lamp holder. Ensure they are firmly connected and not damaged.
  • Control board relay: If the lamp and wiring are good but the light never comes on (even when door is opened), the lamp relay or triac on the control board may have failed. Replace the control module if required.
  • Test operation: Restore power and open the door or press the light button to confirm that the lamp works and E12 is cleared.
