Possible Causes
Stuck cooling fan relay on control board, shorted triac, faulty temperature sensor near control area, wiring short
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before accessing the control area.
- Allow cool-down: Confirm that the oven is completely cool. Some models keep the fan running until a safe temperature is reached; this is normal. If the fan runs indefinitely, continue troubleshooting.
- Inspect control board: Remove the top cover and access the control PCB. Look for a relay or triac labeled for the cooling fan. Check for welded contacts or visible damage.
- Check fan control sensor: Some Essentials ovens use a small thermostat or sensor on the top panel to control the cooling fan. Test it for correct operation and replace if stuck closed.
- Replace control module if needed: If the relay or triac is stuck on and not serviceable separately, replace the entire control board.
- Test operation: Restore power and verify that the fan now turns off a few minutes after the oven cools down and that E14 is cleared.
