Display shows E17, oven fan runs but no heat in fan-assisted modes only

Safety first: Disconnect mains power and allow the oven to cool.

• Access ring element: Remove the rear panel inside the oven cavity to expose the circular convection element around the fan.
• Visual inspection: Look for breaks, blisters, or burn marks on the ring element. Any visible damage means the element must be replaced.
• Test continuity: Disconnect the element terminals and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed element.
• Check wiring and connectors: Inspect the wires and spade terminals for heat damage. Replace any burned connectors and ensure tight fit.
• Control relay check: If the element tests good, inspect the control board relay that switches the convection element. Replace the board if the relay is faulty.
• Reassemble and test: Fit a new Essentials convection element if required, restore power, and test fan-assisted mode to confirm heating and that E17 is cleared.
