Check selector switch (if fitted): On knob-controlled Essentials ovens, verify that the grill position on the function switch has continuity. Replace the selector switch if the grill contact is open.
Inspect wiring: Ensure all connections to the grill element and control board are secure and not heat-damaged.
Control relay: If the element and wiring are good, the grill relay on the control board may have failed. Replace the control module if necessary.
