Temperature Calibration / Sensor Drift
Oven heats but temperature is inaccurate, food undercooked or overcooked compared to set temperature

Possible Causes
Aged temperature sensor (NTC probe), miscalibrated thermostat, poor oven door seal causing heat loss, incorrect rack position usage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the oven to cool before accessing internal components.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an accurate oven thermometer in the center of the cavity and preheat to a known temperature (e.g., 180°C). Compare the displayed temperature to the actual reading.
- Adjust calibration (if available): On digital Essentials models, enter the settings menu and adjust the temperature offset according to the user manual (e.g., ±10–20°C) to match the thermometer.
- Inspect door seal: Check the rubber gasket around the door for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace the door seal if it does not contact the frame evenly.
- Check sensor / thermostat: If the error is large (>25°C), test the temperature sensor resistance or thermostat function and replace if out of specification.
- Retest: After adjustments or part replacement, repeat the thermometer test to confirm accuracy.
