Oven light works but oven does not heat in bake mode, grill still works

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool fully.

• Inspect bake element: Look at the bottom of the oven cavity. Remove any panel covering the element. Check for visible breaks or bulges in the element.
• Test continuity: Access the rear of the oven, disconnect the bake element terminals, and measure resistance. An open reading means the element is faulty and must be replaced.
• Check connectors: Inspect the spade terminals for signs of overheating or looseness. Replace damaged terminals and ensure a tight fit.
• Install new element: Fit a compatible Essentials bake element, reattach wiring, and secure mounting screws.
• Test bake mode: Restore power and run a bake cycle to confirm proper heating.
