Timer and clock work but oven will not start cooking, start button seems unresponsive

Safety first: No internal work is usually required initially.

• Cancel programs: Press the cancel/stop key to clear any active timer or automatic program. On some Essentials models, you must set the timer to manual mode (hand symbol).
• Set simple bake: Select a basic cooking function and temperature, then press the start key firmly. Ensure the door is fully closed.
• Check child lock: Verify that the child lock is not active (look for a key symbol). Disable it according to the manual.
• Test start key: If the start button still does not respond, the touch panel or keypad contact may be faulty and require replacement.
