Oven does not heat in any mode, display and lights work normally
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power by switching off the circuit breaker or unplugging it. Verify no power is present before opening any panels.
- Check heating elements: Remove the rear cover (or internal back panel on some Fagor built-in ovens). Visually inspect the circular fan element and bottom element for breaks, blisters, or burn marks. Test each element with a multimeter; typical resistance is 20–60 Ω. Replace any open or visibly damaged element.
- Inspect wiring: Trace the wires from the elements to the terminal block and main control board. Look for burnt connectors or loose spade terminals. Clean and tighten connections or replace damaged wires using high‑temperature oven wire.
- Test safety thermostat: Locate the safety thermostat (usually on the top of the oven cavity or rear panel). With the oven cold, test for continuity. If open and not resettable, replace it. If it has a reset button, press firmly to reset and re-test.
- Check control board relays: If elements and thermostat test good, inspect the main PCB for burnt relay contacts or darkened areas. If a heater relay is visibly damaged or does not click when heating is commanded, the control board likely needs replacement.
If you are not comfortable working with live circuits or removing the oven from the cabinet, contact a qualified technician.
