Possible Causes
Door not locking properly, Faulty pyrolytic temperature sensor, Defective lock motor, Safety thermostat open circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the oven is empty and cool before testing the pyrolytic system. Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Check door lock: Start a pyrolytic cycle and listen for the lock motor. If the door does not lock, cancel the cycle and inspect the lock assembly for mechanical obstruction or damage. Replace the lock assembly if it does not move.
- Test safety thermostat: Locate the high-temperature safety thermostat (often on the top of the cavity). Test for continuity. If open and non-resettable, replace it. If resettable, press the reset button and re-test.
- Pyro sensor: Some Fagor pyrolytic ovens use a dedicated high-temp sensor. Test its resistance and compare with specifications. Replace if open or shorted.
- Control logic: If all hardware is functional but the cycle still will not start, the control board may be misreading inputs. A board replacement or firmware update (if available) may be required.
