Display shows child lock symbol and controls cannot be used

Safety first: No internal work is usually required, but always disconnect power before removing panels.

• Disable child lock: Refer to the user manual. Commonly, press and hold a specific key (e.g., the lock symbol or Stop key) for 3–5 seconds until the lock icon disappears.
• Power cycle: If the lock will not clear, turn off power at the breaker for 5–10 minutes, then restore and try again.
• Check for stuck keys: Inspect the control panel for any buttons that are physically stuck or continuously activated. Clean around the keys and ensure the glass is not pressing on the touch sensors.
• Replace UI board: If the lock symbol remains and keys do not respond despite correct procedure, the user interface board may be faulty and should be replaced.
