Possible Causes
Mechanical damage from harsh cleaning tools, Prolonged exposure to acidic spills, Manufacturing enamel defect, Water or steam accumulation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not use the oven if metal is exposed and rust is flaking near heating elements, as this can lead to further damage.
- Clean and inspect: Gently clean the affected area with a non-abrasive cleaner to remove loose material. Assess the extent of damage.
- Minor spots: For small chips away from elements, you may use high-temperature food-safe enamel repair paint following the product instructions. Allow full curing before heating.
- Severe damage: If large areas of enamel have failed or metal is heavily corroded, contact a service center. Cavity replacement is often not economical, and the oven may need replacement.
