Fagor
Temperature Calibration Drift
Oven heats but temperature is inaccurate compared to setting, no error code
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Aged temperature sensor with shifted resistance, Control board calibration offset, Poor cavity insulation, Door seal leakage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Measure actual temperature: Place an oven thermometer in the center of the cavity. Compare readings at several setpoints (e.g., 160°C, 200°C). Note consistent offset.
- Adjust calibration: If your Fagor model supports it, enter the settings menu and adjust the temperature offset (e.g., ±10–30°C) to match the thermometer.
- Check sensor: Test the NTC sensor resistance at room temperature and compare with spec. Replace if significantly off.
- Inspect door seal and insulation: Replace a worn gasket and check for obvious insulation gaps around the door frame that could cause heat loss.
