Possible Causes
Faulty door switch stuck in open position, Welded light relay on control board, Shorted light control triac
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before testing switches or removing the control panel.
- Test door switch: Locate the door switch and test continuity while opening and closing the door. Replace the switch if it does not change state correctly.
- Check control board: If the switch is good, the light relay or triac on the PCB may be stuck on. Inspect for signs of overheating. Replace the control board if the light output remains energized when it should be off.
- Temporary workaround: You may remove the bulb to prevent constant illumination, but this does not fix the underlying fault and is not a long-term solution.
