Possible Causes
Loose convection fan blade, Bent fan impeller, Foreign object contacting fan, Worn fan motor bearings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing internal panels. Sharp edges are present.
- Check for loose items: Remove all trays and racks. Inspect the cavity for loose screws or debris that could contact the fan.
- Access fan: Remove the rear internal panel to expose the fan. Check that the fan nut is tight and the blade is not bent. Tighten the nut and gently straighten minor bends.
- Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand. If it wobbles or grinds, the motor bearings may be worn. Replace the convection fan motor assembly.
- Secure panels: Ensure the rear panel and any heat shields are firmly screwed in place to prevent vibration noise.
