Possible Causes

Tripped thermal cut-out thermostat, Loose connection at mains terminal block, Blown internal safety fuse, Faulty selector switch not sending power to elements

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the circuit breaker and verify the oven is de-energized before opening panels.

  • Confirm power: Check that the household breaker is on and not tripped. Test the outlet or junction box for correct voltage.
  • Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover and inspect the mains terminal block for burnt or loose connections. Tighten screws and replace any damaged block.
  • Check thermal cut-out: Locate the safety thermostat on the top or rear of the oven cavity. Test for continuity. If open, press the reset button if fitted. If it will not reset, replace the thermostat.
  • Internal fuse: Look for an inline or PCB-mounted fuse. Test and replace with the same rating if blown, but also investigate for underlying shorts.
  • Selector switch: On knob-controlled Fagor ovens, test the function selector for continuity in a heating mode. Replace if it fails to pass power.
