Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between touch panel and main PCB, Failed touch control board, Liquid ingress into control fascia, Faulty encoder or selector knob

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off the cooker at the isolator and confirm no power is present.

  • Inspect the control fascia: Check for signs of liquid spills or steam damage around the display and buttons. If moisture is present, allow the area to dry completely before further testing.
  • Check ribbon cables: Remove the control panel (usually by removing screws behind the knobs or at the top). Carefully reseat the Falcon oven control fascia ribbon cable into the main PCB connector, ensuring it is fully inserted and locked.
  • Examine the PCB: Look for burnt components or corrosion on the Falcon user interface board. If present, the board should be replaced.
  • Test selector knob/encoder: If your model uses a rotary encoder, check that the shaft is not loose or broken. Replace the Falcon oven selector encoder if it does not register changes.

If the error persists after reseating cables and drying, replacement of the user interface or main control PCB is likely required and may be best handled by a professional.
