Possible Causes

Blown internal fuse on control board, Failed low-voltage power supply on PCB, Loose mains terminal block connection, Faulty mains filter (EMI) board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power at the cooker isolator and verify with a tester that the appliance is de-energised.

  • Check external supply: Confirm that the wall isolator or circuit breaker is on and delivering correct voltage. Inspect the cooker connection unit for loose wires.
  • Inspect mains terminal block: Remove the rear cover to access the Falcon mains terminal block. Tighten any loose screws and look for signs of overheating. Replace the block if melted or charred.
  • Check internal fuses: Many Falcon ovens have small glass or ceramic fuses on the Falcon oven control PCB or on a separate power filter board. Test fuses with a multimeter and replace only with identical ratings.
  • Examine the PCB: Look for bulging capacitors, burnt tracks, or cracked solder joints on the power supply section. If damage is visible, the control board will likely need replacement.

Because mains voltages are involved, if you are not experienced with electrical work, contact a qualified technician for diagnosis and board replacement.
