Possible Causes
Faulty grill safety thermostat, Poor ventilation around oven, Failed cooling fan, Loose thermal sensor on grill cavity
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and allow the grill area to cool completely.
- Check ventilation: Ensure that the oven has the clearances specified by Falcon and that vents are not blocked by cabinetry or foil.
- Inspect grill safety thermostat: Locate the Falcon grill safety thermostat (usually on the top of the cavity). Test for continuity at room temperature. If open and non-resettable, replace it.
- Verify cooling fan operation: In grill mode, the cooling fan should run. If not, test and replace the Falcon cooling fan motor or thermostat as needed.
- Check wiring: Inspect connections to the grill element and safety thermostat for heat damage. Repair or replace any burnt connectors.
