Oven overheats, temperature runs away above the set point, display shows F02 or shuts down with an over-temperature warning.

Safety first: Switch off power at the breaker immediately if the oven overheats. Allow the oven to cool fully before inspection.

• 1. Visual check inside cavity: Confirm the sensor probe is intact and not touching metal racks or walls which can cause false readings. Reposition if necessary.
• 2. Access rear and test sensor: With power off, remove the rear panel. Disconnect the sensor from the control board and measure resistance at room temperature. If resistance is significantly lower than specification (e.g., <800 Ω at 25°C), the sensor is likely shorted and must be replaced.
• 3. Inspect harness: Look for insulation damage where the sensor wires pass through the cavity and along the rear. Repair or replace any damaged wiring and ensure it is not pinched under panels.
• 4. Check control board relays: Inspect the main control board for a relay that appears burnt or welded. If the bake or fan element relay contacts are stuck closed, the element may stay on continuously. This requires board replacement.

Do not continue using the oven if it overheats or shows F02 repeatedly. Overheating is a fire risk and should be addressed by a qualified technician if sensor and wiring appear normal.
