Possible Causes
Faulty touch control glass panel, Damaged ribbon cable between UI and main control, Moisture ingress behind control panel, Failed user interface PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or touching internal wiring.
- 1. Power cycle: Turn off power for 5 minutes, then restore. If F06 clears temporarily but returns when keys are pressed, suspect the UI panel.
- 2. Check for moisture: If the error appeared after heavy steam cooking or cleaning, moisture may be behind the glass. Leave power off, open the oven door, and allow the control area to dry for several hours. Do not use external heat sources directly on the glass.
- 3. Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel fascia to access the user interface board. Carefully disconnect and reseat the flat ribbon cable between the UI and main control. Look for corrosion or damage at the connectors.
- 4. Visual inspection: Check the UI PCB for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or liquid damage. If present, the UI board should be replaced.
- 5. Main control check: If a known-good UI still reports F06, the main control board communication circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
Because the control panel is fragile and expensive, handle glass and ribbon cables gently. If you are unsure, seek professional service.
