Oven display shows F15 and the grill/broil function will not operate.

Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool before inspecting the grill area.

• 1. Visual inspection: Inspect the grill element at the top of the cavity for cracks, blisters, or breaks. A damaged element must be replaced.
• 2. Continuity test: Access the rear of the oven and disconnect the grill element terminals. Measure resistance with a multimeter. An open circuit indicates a failed element.
• 3. Check terminals: Inspect the element terminals and wiring for signs of overheating or loose connections. Replace burnt connectors and ensure a tight fit.
• 4. Control board relay: If the element and wiring are good, the grill relay on the control board may not be switching. Look for burnt relay contacts or tracks. Board replacement is usually required.

A failed grill element is a common wear item and is typically straightforward to replace with the correct Fisher & Paykel part.
