Possible Causes
Aging LED or VFD display, Failing display driver on UI board, Loose display connector, Low supply voltage to UI board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing the control panel.
- 1. Check supply voltage: Ensure the oven is receiving correct mains voltage. Low voltage can cause dim displays.
- 2. Reseat connectors: Remove the control panel and reseat the ribbon cable and connectors between the display and UI board.
- 3. Inspect for damage: Look for heat damage or corrosion on the display board. If present, replace the UI/display assembly.
- 4. Replace display module: If the display itself is faded or segments are missing, replacement of the display or entire UI board is usually required.
While a dim display may not affect cooking performance, it can worsen over time and is best addressed before complete failure.
