Oven interior light stays on all the time, even when the door is closed and the oven is off.

Safety first: Turn off power before accessing the door switch or control board.

• 1. Check door switch: Locate the door switch (usually near the door frame). Press it manually and see if the light turns off (with power on briefly). If not, the switch or relay may be faulty.
• 2. Inspect switch actuator: Ensure the door correctly presses the switch plunger when closed. Adjust the door or switch position if necessary.
• 3. Test switch continuity: With power off, remove the switch and test with a multimeter. Replace if it does not change state reliably.
• 4. Control board relay: If the switch is good but the light remains on, the light relay on the control board may be stuck closed, requiring board replacement.

Leaving the light on continuously can overheat the lamp housing and waste energy; correct the fault promptly.
