Possible Causes
Timer not set or in automatic mode, Child lock enabled, Faulty function selector knob or encoder, Failed start relay drive on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This issue is mostly control-related; no high-voltage work is needed for basic checks.
- 1. Check timer and clock: Ensure the clock is set and the oven is not in automatic or delayed start mode. Cancel any active timers.
- 2. Child lock: Refer to the user manual to disable any key lock or child lock feature that may prevent starting.
- 3. Selector knob test: Rotate the function selector through all positions. If some positions do not register on the display, the encoder or switch may be faulty and require replacement.
- 4. Listen for relays: When attempting to start, listen for relay clicks from the control board. If none are heard and all settings are correct, the control board may be defective.
If user settings are correct and the oven still will not start, professional diagnosis of the control electronics is recommended.
