Possible Causes
Shorted touchpad membrane, Failed electronic oven control (EOC), Moisture or spill intrusion into control panel, Damaged ribbon cable between touchpad and control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker before opening the control panel. Capacitors may hold charge; avoid touching bare circuitry.
- Power cycle: Turn breaker OFF for 5 minutes, then ON. If F11 returns immediately or beeping resumes, proceed.
- Inspect control panel:
- Remove the back cover of the control panel (screws from rear/top).
- Locate the flat ribbon cable from the touchpad to the EOC.
- Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable to clean contacts. Ensure it is fully seated.
- Check for moisture or spills:
- Look for signs of liquid intrusion around the keypad area.
- If recently cleaned with spray cleaner, allow the panel to dry fully (several hours) with power off.
- Isolate keypad vs. control:
- With power OFF, disconnect the keypad ribbon from the EOC.
- Restore power. If F11 does not appear with keypad disconnected, the Touchpad/Control Panel Assembly is likely bad.
- If F11 still appears with keypad disconnected, replace the Electronic Oven Control (EOC).
