Possible Causes

Open oven temperature sensor (RTD), Broken sensor wiring harness, Loose sensor connector at EOC, Damaged sensor plug

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the sensor or control.

  • Check sensor connection:
    • Locate the oven temperature sensor probe inside the oven cavity (back wall).
    • Remove the two screws and gently pull the sensor forward to access the connector.
    • Ensure the connector is fully seated; inspect for burnt or loose pins.
  • Test sensor resistance:
    • Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature.
    • A good Frigidaire RTD should read ~1050–1100 Ω at 70°F (21°C).
    • If the meter shows OL (open) or extremely high resistance, replace the Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD).
  • Check harness to EOC:
    • If the sensor tests good, trace the harness from the sensor to the EOC.
    • Look for breaks, pinched sections, or burnt insulation.
    • Repair or replace the Oven Sensor Harness if damaged.
