Possible Causes
Open door lock motor, Broken lock linkage, Faulty lock relay on EOC, Wiring harness failure to lock motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power at the breaker. Use caution around sharp metal edges.
- Attempt reset:
- Turn power OFF for 5 minutes, then ON.
- Try to start a self-clean cycle and listen for the lock motor. If silent and F91 appears, continue.
- Access lock motor:
- Remove the top panel or front trim to reach the Door Lock Motor Assembly.
- Inspect for broken linkage or jammed latch.
- Test motor:
- With power off, disconnect the motor and measure resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- If motor is open or seized, replace the Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly.
- Check harness and control:
- Inspect wiring from EOC to lock motor for damage.
- If motor and wiring are good, the EOC lock relay may be defective; replace the Electronic Oven Control (EOC).
