How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker. Oven surfaces may be hot after self-clean.
- Allow oven to cool:
- Wait until the oven is completely cool; some models will not unlock while hot.
- Manually release latch (if needed):
- Access the lock mechanism from the top or front.
- Use a flat-blade screwdriver to gently move the latch to the unlocked position.
- Inspect lock switches:
- Locate the micro-switches on the lock assembly.
- Check that the latch fully actuates the switches when locked and unlocked.
- If a switch is loose, misaligned, or physically damaged, replace the Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly or the individual Door Lock Switch if available separately.
- Check wiring and EOC:
- Verify continuity from the lock switches to the EOC.
- If wiring and switches are good but F92 persists, replace the Electronic Oven Control (EOC).
