Open bake element, Open broil element, Failed relay on EOC, Tripped thermal fuse or high-limit thermostat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power at the breaker before testing elements or fuses.
- Test bake and broil elements:
- Visually inspect elements for breaks or burn spots.
- Remove at least one wire from each element and measure resistance; typical values are 10–40 Ω.
- Replace any open Bake Element or Broil Element.
- Check thermal fuse / high-limit:
- Access the rear of the oven and locate the Oven Thermal Fuse or High-Limit Thermostat (often on the back wall or top of oven cavity).
- Test for continuity; replace if open.
- Control board:
- If elements and fuses are good, the EOC may not be sending power; check for output voltage to elements during a bake command.
- Replace the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) if no output is present and supply voltage is correct.
