Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate the oven from mains power before removing any covers or accessing internal components.
- Visual inspection of elements: Remove oven racks and inspect the visible bake and grill elements for blisters, cracks, or burn marks. Any visible damage usually means the element has failed.
- Check for partial heating: Run a low-temperature bake program and feel (without touching directly) if any element glows or radiates heat. If only one element heats, the other may be open.
- Test continuity: With power OFF and rear/top panels removed, disconnect the element terminals and measure resistance with a multimeter. A good element typically shows 15–60 Ω. Infinite resistance indicates a failed element.
- Inspect wiring and connectors: Look for burnt spade connectors or discoloured wiring at the element terminals and at the power control board.
- Relay check (basic): While running a heating program, listen for the relay click on the power control board (only if safely accessible). No click may indicate a failed relay or control board.
Note: Replacing elements is usually straightforward, but if multiple elements are good and E002 persists, the power control board may need professional replacement.
