Possible Causes
Faulty cavity temperature sensor reading too high, Blocked cooling vents, Failed cooling fan, Incorrect installation causing heat build-up
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool fully before inspection.
- Verify installation: Check that the oven has the required clearances in the cabinet and that insulation or panels are not blocking vents.
- Clean vents: Remove dust and debris from front and rear ventilation openings.
- Check cooling fan: Start a heating program and confirm that the cooling fan runs. If not, see cooling fan diagnostics (E005).
- Sensor check: Inspect the cavity temperature sensor for correct mounting and damage. Replace if readings are inconsistent.
Note: Repeated E023 events can damage internal components. If basic checks do not resolve the issue, have the oven professionally evaluated.
