Possible Causes
Failed convection (ring) heating element, Open thermal fuse in fan circuit, Burnt wiring to convection element, Faulty relay controlling convection element
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the rear panel or fan area.
- Check other modes: Test conventional bake and grill. If they heat normally, the issue is likely isolated to the convection element.
- Access rear panel: Remove the rear cover of the oven cavity (inside) to expose the convection element around the fan.
- Visual inspection: Look for breaks, blisters, or burn marks on the ring element.
- Continuity test: Disconnect the element leads and measure resistance. Infinite resistance indicates a failed element.
- Inspect wiring: Check for burnt or loose connectors at the element and control board.
Action: Replace the convection element if open or visibly damaged. If the element is good, the control relay or board may be at fault.
