Possible Causes
Aging or drifting temperature sensor, Weak heating element, Faulty temperature control algorithm on main board, Poor door seal causing heat loss
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an oven-safe thermometer in the centre of the cavity and compare actual temperature to the setpoint over 20–30 minutes.
- Check door seal: Inspect the door gasket for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace if it does not seal evenly all around.
- Inspect elements: Ensure all elements glow or radiate heat appropriately in their respective modes. A partially failed element may still warm but not reach full output.
- Sensor test: Measure the resistance of the temperature sensor at room temperature and compare to specifications. Replace if out of range.
- Offset adjustment: If your Gaggenau model allows temperature offset calibration in the settings, adjust slightly (e.g. +10 °C) to compensate for minor deviations.
Recommendation: If large temperature errors persist after these checks, the control board may require replacement or reprogramming.
