Possible Causes

Failed bake element, Burned wire at bake element terminal, Defective bake relay on EOC

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Shut off power at the breaker.

  • Visual check: Inspect the bake element for cracks, breaks, or bulges. Replace if damaged.
  • Test element: Disconnect one wire and measure resistance (15–40 Ω typical). Replace if open.
  • Inspect rear connections: Remove the rear panel and check the element terminals and wiring for burns or loose connections.
  • Replace EOC if needed: If the element and wiring are good, the bake relay on the EOC may be faulty.

Warning: Do not operate the oven with exposed or damaged element wiring.
