Possible Causes

Tripped house breaker, Loose or burned power cord/terminal block, Open thermal fuse or high-limit thermostat, Failed EOC or power board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the breaker before accessing the rear or terminal block.

  • Check breaker: Verify the oven/range breaker is ON and not tripped. Reset fully OFF then ON.
  • Inspect terminal block: For ranges, remove the rear cover and inspect the terminal block where the power cord connects. Tighten loose screws and replace any burned parts.
  • Check thermal fuse: Many GE Profile wall ovens have a thermal fuse on the back or top. Test for continuity; replace if open.
  • Control board: If power is present at the control but it remains dead, replace the EOC or power board.

Note: A blown thermal fuse often indicates prior overheating; ensure cooling fans and vents are clear.
