Possible Causes
Misaligned door latch, Failed door switch, Faulty door lock assembly, Bent door hinges
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before adjusting hinges or lock components.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and evenly. Look for gaps or misalignment.
- Inspect hinges: Check for bent or loose hinges. Tighten hinge screws and ensure hinge arms are fully seated in the receiver slots.
- Test door switch/lock: On models with a visible door switch, press it by hand and listen for a click. If no click or no continuity, replace the switch or lock assembly.
- Replace lock assembly: If the door lock mechanism does not signal closed/locked properly, replace the door lock motor assembly.
Note: The oven will not start self-clean unless it can verify the door is locked.
