Possible Causes

Failed oven temperature sensor, Intermittent sensor wiring, Defective EOC temperature circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power immediately if the oven overheats. Allow it to cool fully.

  • Test sensor: With power off, remove and test the oven temperature sensor for correct resistance (~1080 Ω at room temperature). Replace if out of spec.
  • Check harness: Inspect the sensor harness for intermittent connections, especially where it passes through the rear wall grommet.
  • Replace EOC if needed: If sensor and wiring are good, replace the EOC, as its temperature processing circuit may be faulty.

Warning: Do not continue using the oven with a known runaway temperature condition.
