Possible Causes
Loose or damaged harness between UI and main control, Failed user interface board, Failed main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing control components.
- Access controls: Remove the control panel or upper trim to expose the user interface (UI) board and main control (EOC or power board).
- Inspect harness: Check the multi-pin connectors between the UI and main control for loose plugs, bent pins, or corrosion. Reseat all connectors firmly.
- Check for damage: Look for burnt spots or cracked solder joints on the boards. Any visible damage usually means the board must be replaced.
- Replace suspect board: If reseating connectors does not resolve the error, replace the UI board first (most common), then the main control if needed.
Note: Some models require programming or configuration after board replacement; follow the service manual.
