Possible Causes
Debris or moisture in probe jack, Bent contacts in probe receptacle, Faulty probe jack switch on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before cleaning the probe jack area.
- Inspect jack: Look inside the meat probe receptacle for food debris, grease, or moisture. Clean gently with a dry cotton swab.
- Dry thoroughly: If moisture is present, allow the jack to air dry completely or use low heat from a hair dryer at a safe distance.
- Power reset: Restore power and check if the PROBE indication clears. Try inserting and removing the probe several times.
- Replace jack or control: If the oven still thinks a probe is inserted, the jack or associated circuit on the control board may need replacement.
Tip: Always insert the probe fully and remove it before starting non-probe cooking modes.
