Possible Causes
Partially failed bake element, One leg of 240V power missing, Weak relay contacts on EOC, Door gasket heat loss
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before inspecting wiring.
- Check power supply: Have an electrician verify that the range is receiving full 240V (two hot legs) at the terminal block.
- Inspect elements: Ensure both bake and broil elements glow red during preheat. If one does not, test and replace it.
- Check door gasket: Inspect the door seal for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace if damaged to prevent heat loss.
- Control issue: If power and elements are good, the EOC may not be cycling elements correctly and may need replacement.
Tip: Avoid opening the door frequently during preheat, as this significantly slows heating.
