Meat probe circuit detected as connected
Display shows Probe or PROBE and oven will not start a normal bake

Possible Causes
Meat probe plugged in, Shorted probe jack, Failed probe sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power if removing panels; for basic checks, power can remain on with caution.
- Remove probe: If the meat probe is plugged into the jack inside the oven, remove it and press CLEAR/OFF. Try starting a normal bake.
- Inspect jack: Check the probe receptacle for debris or moisture that could cause a short. Clean and dry thoroughly.
- Test probe: If the oven only works in probe mode, test the probe sensor with a multimeter (resistance changes with temperature). Replace the GE meat probe if readings are erratic or open.
