Possible Causes
Shorted NTC temperature sensor, Sensor wires pinched to chassis, Moisture inside sensor connector, Failed sensor input circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before opening any panels.
Steps to check:
- Access the oven temperature sensor as described for E1 (rear upper cavity area).
- Inspect the sensor cable along its route to the rear of the oven. Look for crushed insulation where it passes through metal panels or near the fan housing.
- Disconnect the sensor from the harness and measure resistance with a multimeter. A reading near 0 Ω indicates a shorted sensor.
- If the sensor measures correctly at room temperature, check the harness for continuity to ground (one probe on each wire, the other on the oven chassis). Any continuity indicates a short to earth; reroute or replace the harness.
- Dry any moisture in the connector area and apply contact cleaner if corrosion is present.
- If wiring and sensor are good but E2 persists, the main control board sensor circuit may be damaged and require replacement.
Warning: Avoid bending the sensor sharply; it can be damaged internally. If in doubt, replace the sensor as a set with the harness.
