Possible Causes
Failed circular fan element, Loose wiring at fan element, Faulty fan element relay on PCB, Overheated connectors near fan housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power.
Steps to check:
- Remove the rear inner panel of the oven cavity to expose the convection fan and circular element.
- Inspect the circular element for cracks or hot spots. Check wiring for burns or loose terminals.
- Measure resistance of the circular element; an open reading means it must be replaced.
- Spin the convection fan by hand to ensure it is free; a seized fan can overheat the element area.
- If the element is good, check for supply voltage at the element when fan mode is selected (qualified person only). Lack of voltage points to a PCB/relay issue.
Warning: Sharp edges inside the cavity can cut; wear cut-resistant gloves.
