Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains and allow it to cool.

Steps to check:

Remove the rear inner panel of the cavity to access the convection fan.
Try to rotate the fan blade by hand. If stiff or seized, clean away grease and debris; if still stuck, replace the fan motor assembly.
From the rear of the oven, access the fan motor terminals. Check wiring for damage and ensure connectors are tight.
Measure motor winding resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed motor.
If the motor is good but never receives voltage when fan mode is selected, the main control board or fan relay is likely defective.

Warning: Do not lubricate the motor with household oils; use only manufacturer-approved parts.

Oven shows E8 and the convection fan does not run, even though heating may still occur.
