Possible Causes

Failed tangential cooling fan, Blocked air channels above oven, Faulty overheat thermostat on top of cavity, Loose wiring to cooling fan

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power and let the oven cool fully.

Steps to check:

  • Pull the oven out of the cabinet to access the top area where the cooling fan (tangential fan) is located.
  • Inspect the fan blades and housing for dust and grease buildup; clean thoroughly to restore airflow.
  • Check that the fan spins freely by hand. If stiff or noisy, replace the cooling fan assembly.
  • Locate the overheat thermostat mounted on top of the oven cavity. Test for continuity; if open and non-resettable, replace it.
  • Verify wiring connections between the fan, thermostat, and main PCB.

Warning: Operating the oven with a failed cooling fan can damage cabinets and electronics; do not bypass the thermostat.
