Possible Causes
Shorted temperature sensor, Sensor not fully inserted into cavity, Stuck heating relay on main PCB, Failed thermostat on mechanical models
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool.
Steps to check:
- Verify that the temperature sensor probe is properly mounted and not hanging loose inside the cavity.
- Measure the sensor resistance at room temperature; a very low reading suggests a shorted sensor that will cause overheating.
- On models with mechanical thermostats, check the thermostat capillary bulb placement and ensure it is not dislodged.
- If the sensor/thermostat is correct, the heating relay on the main PCB may be welded closed, keeping elements on continuously; replace the board.
Warning: Do not continue using an oven that overheats; it is a fire risk.
