Possible Causes
Burnt-out convection fan motor, seized fan bearings, obstructed fan blades, faulty fan relay on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power before removing the rear panel inside the cavity.
- Access the fan: Remove the screws securing the rear internal panel to expose the convection fan and circular element.
- Check for obstruction: Inspect the fan blades for foil, food debris, or heavy grease buildup. Clean thoroughly and ensure the blades can rotate freely.
- Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand. If stiff, noisy, or wobbly, the motor bearings are likely worn and the motor should be replaced.
- Measure motor resistance: From the rear of the oven, disconnect the fan motor wires and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- Check power supply to motor: With power restored and fan mode selected, carefully measure voltage at the motor terminals (only if you are trained and using proper safety precautions). If correct voltage is present but the motor does not run, replace the motor. If no voltage, suspect the relay or control board.
Warning: Do not run the oven with the rear internal panel removed; it affects airflow and exposes live parts.
