Grundig
Child Lock / Key Lock Activated
Child lock symbol displayed, oven controls locked, sometimes misinterpreted as an error

Possible Causes
Child lock feature enabled via touch controls, accidental long-press on lock key, user interface misconfiguration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal work is required for this condition.
- Check for lock icon: Look for a key or padlock symbol on the display. This indicates the child lock is active.
- Disable child lock: On most Grundig ovens, press and hold the lock key or a specific combination (e.g., '+' and '-' or timer and function keys) for 3–5 seconds until the lock icon disappears. Refer to the user manual for the exact sequence.
- Power reset: If the lock will not clear, disconnect power for 5 minutes, reconnect, and try the unlock sequence again.
Note: This is a normal feature, not a hardware fault, unless the touch panel fails to register the unlock command.
